Local 580 Holds Steward's     Seminar & Appreciation Dinner . .

On Saturday May 19, Teamsters Local 580 held a steward's seminar that lasted from 9:00am until 3:00pm.  The instructor was IBT central region training coordinator Shaun Ellis, and he covered various topics including: grievance investigation and preparation, steward responsibilities, and contract review.  The stewards then posed for their "class" picture which will be posted shortly.  We then adjourned and the Steward's and their dates came back for the appreciation dinner at Cascorelli's restaurant on South Cedar Ave.  We enjoyed a delicious meal and some fellowship, and everyone seemed to have a good time.  The Executive board, and the full time staff of Teamsters local 580 would like to thank all who attended either function, as well as the IBT and the Training and education department, for making this an informative and positive experience for our stewards.
